Huygens Australian Tour: Workshop at QBI, The University of Queensland
March 27, 2026, Brisbane, Australia
A collaboration with the QBI Advanced Microscopy Facility
This is a truly rare opportunity—traveling all the way from the Netherlands, SVI will offer a FREE one-day, on-site workshop at QBI.
If you are interested in obtaining the best possible images for accurate image analysis, this workshop is for you!
Through hands-on sessions using Huygens Software, you will learn how to deconvolve images correctly, and how to identify and correct imaging issues such as blur, noise, crosstalk, drift, chromatic aberration, and vignetting. This will result in high-quality input data for quantitative analyses. We will also perform colocalization and (AI-based) object analysis measurements.
This workshop is a joint collaboration and will be facilitated by Jasper van der Rijst (MSc) and Vincent Schoonderwoert (PhD) of SVI, and Dr Rumelo Amor, Dr Andrew Thompson, and Dr Zac Pujic of the QBI Advanced Microscopy Facility. The workshop will be held in the QBI Level 7 Meeting Room (Rm 707), Queensland Brain Institute (Building 79), The University of Queensland, St Lucia, 4072 QLD, Australia
Huygens Software workshop licenses and demo images will be made available for computers and personal laptops.
Note: This workshop is open to everyone but limited seats are available. Be quick to register! We reserve the right to give QBI people priority.
