Huygens Image Quality Control

Automatically identifies issues in your image

Check if your images meet scientific standards with this Image Quality Control (QC) tool! Whether you're unsure about your acquisition, curious about image quality, or monitoring your microscope's performance, this tool is your go-to solution.

Available in Huygens Essential and Professional, the QC tool thoroughly analyzes sample and bead data, alerting you to any potential problems. For bead images, it provides detailed point spread function (PSF) properties. Fix the detected issues directly through the tool. A free online version—with limited features—is also available here.

PSF shape analysis

Huygens Quality Control checks bead image data for all the issues mentioned. In addition, it assesses the Point-Spread-Function (PSF) quality of your microscope and generates a detailed report including:

PSF asymmetry

PSF surface sphericity

PSF skewed intensities

PSF tilting

FWHM bead average

FWHM experimental PSF

FWHM theoretical PSF

Note: PSF analysis in the QC option requires the PSF Distiller option.
