Easy on-the-fly spherical aberration corrections using deconvolution
Common to imaging thick samples is the distortion and attenuation of structures located deeper within the specimen. This phenomenon stems from the enlargement of the point spread function (PSF) due to spherical aberration, triggered by a mismatch in refractive index (RI) between the sample and the lens immersion medium. Despite efforts to match the RI or use complex hardware solutions, achieving a perfectly spherical aberration-free image is hard to achieve. Fortunately, the Huygens Software offers a simple and effective solution within its deconvolution options! In this webinar, we will explain how to use Huygens for the on-the-fly correction for spherical aberration, and present image data which demonstrates the improvements that can be obtained.
