Scientific Volume Imaging b.v. ("SVI", "us", "we", or "our") operates https://svi.nl (the "Website") and the Huygens Everywhere license mechanism for using The Huygens Software via a login. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Website and the Huygens Everywhere license mechanism.

Public pages

The public pages (such as GPU acceleration) are open to all Website visitors for reading. They are intended for treating different aspects and generalities of microscopy and the deconvolution, visualization and analysis of microscopy images.

Premium Content pages

By subscribing to our newsletter, it is possible to get access to Premium Content pages (such as the Sofware Download page).

Customer only pages

This level of privacy can be accessed with a login and a password supplied by SVI to customers with a maintenance contract. This includes access to Premium content pages. Also testers may be allowed temporary access (usually 30 days) to the customer level upon registration. Customer pages focus on in-depth aspects of the Huygens Software and its underlying optical processes.

Information Collection And Use

While using our Website, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name ("Personal Information") and email address. Any personal information that you submit to us via forms on this Website will not be shared with third parties.

Log Data

The webserver collects information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Website ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. By unsubscribing, you will be removed from our maling lists (opt-out), but your contact information (as provided in our online forms) may remain in our database. Following the GDPR law, you also have the 'right to be forgotten'. In addition to unsubscribing, you also have the possibility to have your contact information to be deleted from our database. You can request to be deleted from our database by sending an e-mail to info@svi.nl with the words 'Delete me' in the subject. If you have an account to our website, then this account will also be deleted.

When users purchase a Huygens Everywhere license and using the login system, we collect the following types of data:

  • Account information: Includes user name, password, first and last name, email address.
  • Payment information: Includes information from payment provider (Paypal or Stripe), bank account information, and or credit card information provided in the webshop at the point of transaction. (Does not apply when provided with a testing license by our staff)
  • License information: Includes details of products and options that you are licensed to use after purchase. Also includes a list of Huygens everywhere accounts that are members of this license.
  • Technical information: Includes Computer name, IP address, login time, operating system, MAC address.
