Scaled results

The deconvolution results in the Huygens Software can include scaling factors that you may need to know for further analysis.

Huygens Essential will return these factors in the Task Report window, and in the task log files of the Batch Processor.

The restoration commands in Tcl Huygens will return the scaling factors per channel when the -tclReturn option is used. (See the Scripting Manual).

In principle deconvolution preserves the total light intensity, however scaling factors can be applied during deconvolution to gain Dynamic Range: see Ratiometric Images.

Another scaling can be applied for contrast stretching when exporting the result to TIFF, for visualization purposes: see Tiff Scaling.
