Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP)

A maximum intensity projection (MIP) is a simple ray-tracing technique where the maximum intensity encountered along each ray within volumetric data is projected onto the screen.

A dedicated Mip Renderer for visualizing 3D image data is part of Huygens Essential and Huygens Professional.

See Volume Visualization for more information on other render tools, and Mip Renderer for example images.
